Waymaker Institute was launched from Waymaker.Church (located in Forest, Virginia) after more than a decade of developing leaders. Through various programs we offer every person the opportunity to grow in their knowledge and spiritual transformation, equipping them for kingdom impact. Whether you are called to ministry, the marketplace, or the nations, we have a pathway for you to grow.

GROWTH POINT ONE | Discipleship

A key focus of Waymaker Institute is to equip you to be with Jesus, be like Jesus, and do what Jesus did. Through intentional environments and personal coaching, you will learn what it looks like to be a follower of Jesus.

GROWTH POINT TWO | Mission

This is a call to accept an invitation to partner with what God is already doing throughout the world to bring more of heaven to earth. Whether serving vocationally in the church or in the marketplace, being on mission is an essential part of following Jesus.

Another key focus of Waymaker Institute is the hands-on experience you will receive in every year of our programs. Waymaker.Church leaders will equip you and grow your capacity and competence to lead others through various levels of development.

SCHOOL OF DISCIPLESHIP

This program is built for anyone who wants to grow in their discipleship and followership of Jesus and is tailored to fit the everyday person’s schedule. So whether you work full-time, are a stay-at-home mom, or a full-time student, we can tailor this program to you.

SCHOOL OF MINISTRY

A one-year internship built for people seeking practical leadership development within the context of the local church to clarify and apply their call to ministry whether locally or globally.

A two-year residency built for anyone called to lead in vocational ministry, whether locally or globally, and seeking to be commissioned by the local church in their specific calling. Along with paid ministry experience, there are development environments-both educational and spiritual-to equip you to go the distance in ministry.
